1. During the last 12 months, the station employment unit engaged in the following initiatives (provide full details, including an explanation if no initiatives were conducted during the period involved):

As jobs become vacant in the future the station unit will mail letters regarding our employment vacancies to colleges and universities in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas asking for assistance in filling job vacancies. Employment outreach letters will also be mailed to the Shreveport NAACP, Shreveport Job Corps Center, L.U.L.A.C. Council #16001, American Commercial College and American School of Business. We will review our outreach program on a continuing basis adding new recruitment organizations as new information becomes available. All job openings will be placed on the KSHV-TV Web Site and posted internally at station locations.

During the past 12 months the station participated in three (3) local Job Fairs for Caddo Career Center, Bossier Parish Community College and City of Bossier educating the public on careers that are available in television broadcasting.  We plan to continue this practice in the future.

In February 2007, KSHV participated in the National Ground Hog Shadow Day.  During this one day event four students from the Shreveport Job Corps Center visited the station for four hours shadowing jobs of different individuals throughout the company.  We plan to participate in this event every year.
